Power Point presentations – how to number the slides starting from 1 on the second slide

When you do a Power Point presentation, sometimes you want to number your slides, but you don’t want a number on the first page – your Title page.  So if you want numbers on the rest of the slides, but starting with the second slide as slide 1, this is what you do:

In Power Point, open your presentation.  Go to Page Setup (which if you can’t find it, is under the Design tab), and where it says “number slides from” choose zero.  Then on the Insert tab, choose Slide Number, and in the dialog box, tick Slide Number, and tick Don’t Show on title slide, and tick Apply to All.
